2009 - Hiding God's Word Verse #14

In January of this year, I committed to the LPM Scripture Memory Challenge to memorize 2 verses of scripture each month for the year 2009. I can hardly believe it but the verse for the second half of July brings us to verse number 14 out of 24!

But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)

I also really like the way The Message interprets it:

It's impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.

Unfortunately, I still do not have my camera back from being repaired so I cannot post a picture of my actual memory verse on my index cards as I normally do.  I sure hope that I get it back soon! But, until then I thought I would leave you with a little something that should bring a  smile to your face!

How Sweet Is This?

Last evening, I was in the house paying bills and my husband was outside pressure-washing the driveway.

 

After a few minutes he opened up the back door and said, "Honey, look out the dining room window."

After 31 years of marriage, how sweet is that?

Be Still My Heart......

My two daughters, Faith and Grace, took Grace's little "Miss E" to have some pictures taken on Tuesday. The photographer did an absolutely amazing job with the photos. She captured so many of my favorite expressions!

Something To Smile About!

1. Dawn - I think of Dawn as my "eternal cheerleader"! Her comments that she leaves on my blog always lift me up. I am always encouraged by reading her posts. She loves her kids, the youth of today and the Lord! She is leaving for the Mayo Clinic this week for a long awaited appointment regarding knee pain. 2.Betsy - I love reading her blog! She is such an awesome Mom, approaching the "empty nest" years, that loves her children so much! She is also a teacher so her students must be so blessed by her as well. Her blog always makes me feel uplifted and leaves me with a smile! You have to stop by and visit her - you will be blessed!

3. Jenna - Any of you that know Miss Jenna know that you cannot read her blog without smiling. God has gifted her with an amazing ability to write and express herself. She has an amazing family and friends and you will become part of them as you follow their adventures!

4. Cindy - Cindy is a new friend of mine in the blogging world. She has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and is just beginning her battle. God has given me such a burden to pray for this sweet mom dealing with a difficult "storm" at this time. 5. Faith - Many of you know that Faith is one of my daughters. She has so many wonderful friends that are part of her life and so many interesting things that happen to her.
