2009 - Hiding God's Word Verse # 10

I can hardly believe that we are already on Verse #10 in the  LPM Scripture Memory Challenge -- to memorize 2 verses (or passages) of Scripture each month for 2009. It has been such a blessing to have the previous 9 verses committed to memory and God has given me so many opportunities to use these verses in recent weeks.

There just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day for me any more! My life has been so busy recently and I have not been able to find the time to blog as much as I used to or would like to. As a result, I must say that the 15th of the month slipped up on me this time!

Without further ado, the verse that I have chosen to commit to memory in the last half of the month of May is:

Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it.
Psalm 37:4 & 5 (NASB)

As I ponder the meaning of this verse, I believe that God is reminding me once again that HE must become the obsession of my life! HE must be the focus of my life and the object of my affection!

If I will let everything in my life focus on HIM, then I will be absolutely amazed at what HE will do for me!

One of my personal favorites! It reminds me that when I delight myself in Him then His desires will become mine.

I have been SO busy lately, too, and have hardly been able to post.

That is a favorite verse of mine as well. I have not posted in weeks as life has been super crazy. I have tried to read and comment as much as possible, but have even been behind on that too. Hopefully things will settle down soon. Our sermon at church today was about staying in the word and how our lives would bear much fruit if we did. Let us delight ourselves in the Lord...
Love & blessings from NC!

Amen! Whatever is our focus is our passion and what we truly love.

I, too, have found the days flying by. I didn't put up my scripture until today either :)

Blessings,
Sherry

Em,
I love that verse.

I have been REALLY busy to as of late, but it is a good busy. God has really been talking to me about time management. I've been diligently working to improve my use of time, so that has left less time for blogging.

I love you girl, and hopefully we will get to catch up soon. Let me know how the missions trip is coming, what I can be praying for, when you leave, etc.

Have a Blessed week,
Dawn

I love this verse!! I think you picked a great verse!! It is an encouraging verse as well as a convicting verse to me nearly every time I read it. How much do I truly, honestly, wholeheartedly commit myself/Delight myself in the Lord. Shamefully not enough. It is a good reminder for me to click over here and read that verse. Thank you!!!!

This is one of my favorite verses too.

I talked to a blogging friend who lives near me and she and I are planning on going to Houston next Jan. to Beth Moore's church. Are you going to go?
I actually made our hotel reservations today.

It'd be so fun to meet some of my blogging friends!

I usually have a hard time memorizing, but I'm on track. I'm memorizing Psalm 139. I'm loving it!

Okay so I am commenting on this again, because my computer e-mail thing is messing up and it takes me so long to type out an e-mail. I hope you are doing well.
